China: Main gold maker adds
verified reserves

According
to the provincial department of natural resources, Shandong Province in east China
has noticed 2,957.62 tons of proven gold reserves over the last decade,
securing its position as the main gold manufacture base in the country.
From
2011 to the end of 2020, four super-large gold deposits each with reserves of
more than 100 tons were discovered, down with eight large gold deposits and 121
small and medium-sized gold deposits, stated Yu Xiangdong, manager of the
department.
The
recently discovered reserves have surpassed the total amount of gold resources
found between 1949 and 2010 in Shandong, he added.
