Mon Nov 13 2017

PT Nusa Konstruksi Enjiniring Tbk (DGIK.JK) has just bagged a construction contract for gold and copper mine in Tujuh Bukit or Mount Tumpang Pitu, Banyuwangi, East Java.

Together with similar projects previously worked on, the total value of mining construction contracts reached $190 million.

The company's Joint Venture with Australian company, Macmahon Holding Limited, is entrusted with the construction of one of the largest mining projects in Indonesia.

"The initial construction of this underground mine will start soon," said Corporate Secretary Djohan Halim in Jakarta, Monday (11/13/2017).

The company, along with Macmahon, previously also worked on gold mine construction in Martabe, North Sumatra.

"The entry of NKE in the mine construction project will complement our portfolio. With increasing capability, we are optimistic to reach new markets in the national construction sector," he said.

According to him, Joint Venture or Joint Operation cooperation scheme is one of the strategies developed by the company to increase the value and contribution of the Company to its stakeholders.

In addition to Macmahon, the company has also established business alliances with global companies to work on construction projects in various parts of Indonesia.

In Central Java, the company together with TOA Corporation formed Joint Operation (JO) and acted as a contractor of Batang Steam Power Plant construction with a capacity of 2x1,000 megawatts (MW).

Djohan revealed that the Company also cooperates with Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co. to work on several apartments, hotels and offices.
